after scoring only 5 points in his heat,s due to machine trouble. kyle qualified for 3rd choice of gate positions for the b final kyle chose gate one and won the b final that put kyle straight in to the a final on the only gate left that was gat 4 kyle made the jump from the start but got pushed out wide on the first corner to be relagated to last place. kyle then passed lewis whitmore for 3rd and chased hard after the front runner,s but after having to lock up to miss jack parkinson blackburn,s rear wheel kyle lost his speed and finished 3rd in the final.

results taken fron scunthorpe website

Round four of the Scunthorpe Speedway Winter Championship saw all three adult winners do it the hard way by progressing through the ‘B’ finals. Scunthorpe rider, Stefan Nielsen, who is out on loan to Mildenhall in 2012, even finished second in the ‘B’ final but earned a reprieve when Steve Worrall pulled out of the ‘A’ final due to bike problems. Nielsen passed Gary Irving in the final race to cap a fine meeting for the 17-year old and was joined by 2012 Scunthorpe Saint and Winter Series leader Tom Young and 2011 Berwick Bandit Tamas Sike.

In the Support Class it was King’s Lynn’s Lewis Rose who once again won but a fall in his last qualifying ride meant he too had to defeat a determined Ryan MacDonald in the ‘B’ final before overcoming Martin Wrathall, Lee Springthorpe and Tommy Fenwick in the ‘A’ race . The Novice class was won by Mike Russell whilst Lewis Whitmore (Youth 250) and Jack Parkinson-Blackburn (Youth 125) won the other. The Youth 125 final was undoubtedly one of the best of the sixty-five heats with the four youngsters, aged between nine and eleven, producing some fantastic racing. Take a bow Jack, Ben Woodhull, Kyle Bickley and Lewis Whitmore.

Youth 125cc Class:

Qualifying scores: Jack Parkinson-Blackburn 12, Ben Woodhull 9, Lewis Whitmore 8, Macauley Leek 7, Luke Woodhull 6, Kyle Bickley 5, Jamie Halder 3, Kean Dicken 3, Sam Wright 1.

C Final: Dicken, Halder, Wright
B Final: Bickley, L.Woodhull, Leek, Halder
A Final: Parkinson-Blackburn, B.Woodhull, Bickley, Whitmore

Winter Series points: Jack Parkinson-Blackburn 16, Ben Woodhull 15, Kyle Bickley 14, Lewis Whitmore 13, Luke Woodhull 12, Macauley Leek 11, Jamie Halder 10, Kean Dicken 9, Sam Wright 8.

Winter Series standings (after round 4 of 6, one round can be dropped): Jack Parkinson-Blackburn 60 (12-16-16-16), Kyle Bickley 59 (16-14-15-14), Ben Woodhull 58 (14-15-14-15), Luke Woodhull 53 (15-13-13-12), Kean Dicken 43 (13-12-9-9), Macauley Leek 23 (12-11), Dan Miles 22 (11-11), Jamie Halder 21 (11-10), Lewis Whitmore 13, Jack Collins 10, Luke Whitehead 8, Sam Wright 8.
